Summary
the operators perform operations in accordance with military and oem specifications. employees in this position will process a variety of parts in the anodize and/or impregnation department. experience in type i, ii and iii anodize.
Job Duties
- set-up, maintain and operate various processing equipment to a variety of parts and materials to required thicknesses in specified areas.
- documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with identified specifications and quality programs.
- operates processes including but not limited to anodize, passivate, chemfilm, and/or impregnation.
- follow verbal and written engineering and quality control instructions as contained in process procedures, blueprints, operates in a specified and quality manner.
- maintains attentiveness to process details and equipment (i.e. timers, temperature controllers and indicators, rectifier amp and volt meters, and other associated equipment).
- process includes fixtures/racking, masking (tape, lacquer, etc), surface activation; the use of filters, pumps, and agitators/mixers.
- provides input and assists in the build/repair of electroplating fixtures.
- pre- and post-processing tasks include, but are not limited to, degreasing cleaning, blasting, visual and dimensional inspection.
- use of various measuring tools and gauges such as go no-go gage, micrometers, calipers, and plating thickness instruments to measure part and test panels.
- maintain all required logs, documents, and records as required by process controls.
- performs minor equipment maintenance such as anode and cathode bar cleaning, rack stripping, changing filters, etc.
- may be required to perform more than one operation at a time as directed by the department supervisor.
- works with a positive attitude and reports all questions or problems to department supervisor.
- performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
