Nadcap Audit Criteria for Chemical Processing

Nadcap Anodizing

Certified Metal Finishing is an Accredited Nadcap aluminum anodizing & metal finishing facility. Nadcap is a worldwide cooperative which accredits contractors in the manufacture of materials used in the defense, aerospace, and automotive industries. Created in 1990, and headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, Nadcap has branch offices in Beijing, Nagoya, and London. Nadcap’s Standards Committee meets quarterly to discuss the latest trends in the industry, best manufacturing practices, and to establish guidelines and standards for accreditation.

Contractors wishing to achieve Nadcap accreditation, must petition to Nadcap for a compliance audit. Contractors who receive an audit will be reviewed for their adherence to Nadcap’s standards for manufacturing processes and quality. Upon completion of the audit, non-conformance areas are indicated in a report to the contractor. When the contractor has resolved all non-conformance issues, Nadcap provides the contractor a letter of accreditation which typically expires in eighteen months.

Nadcap accreditation is often required for any contractor who wishes to do work with Department of Defense contractors, or directly with the Department of Defense.
